The way it works in the US is that the phone gets unlimited data (no limits) for about $50usd. But you can only use up to 5 gigs on the hotspot. That limit can be bypassed so devices connected to the hotspot can use unlimited data just like the phone. Sometimes it can be done without root or root, and other times with an external OpenWRT router with TTL settings.

 all US carriers do this. Changing the TTL can be done on the phone or using an external OpenWRT router by tethering the phone to it via cable or WiFi. Changing it on the phone is different on each model and most require root access (search for "change TTL" here on XDA. quelqu'un a déjà eu cette expérience sur des forfaits nord-américains?

J'ai regardé vite fait par curiosité, voilà ce que j'ai trouvé concernant les quotas actuels de hotspot, qui sont toujours séparés :

• T-Mobile va de 0 à 40 Go, « vitesse 3G » après quota (qui est de 600 Kbps selon Reddit)
• AT&T va de 5 à 60 Go, 128 Kbps une fois le quota atteint
• Verizon va de 0 à 60 Go, 3 Mbps après quota si on est en "5G UW" (3700 Mhz ou mmWave), sinon 600 Kbps sur 5G/4G
