ok, my knowledge seems to be much better, and I also understand your motivation to replace Orange ONU with own device.
2 important elements:
- most of people need just 1x1G ONT, that will help them to connect own router/home infrastructure, but in "a simple way"***
- some more geeky geeks need 1x2.5G ONT that will utilize 2000/600 service
In general, to make it a "black box", so user don't have to think about vlan id, pbit (cos) for DHCP or dhcp options, that requires:
- modification of OMCI stack, to enforce untagging operation on LAN port. Normally OLT (central device) sends information about VLAN ID on user port, that needs to be overwritten with "remove tag" operation.
- adding so called "trap to CPU" of DHCP request, to:
-- drop it later on towards operator network with proper Pbit (6)
-- add DHCP option parameters "on the fly"
all above is doable, but some of these options violate OMCI protocol, and I never needed options as above, as it is not necessary to cheat on this level if you control entire network
For the moment, product that is available is LXT-010G-D (1x1G). Without modifications in code you can set lot of paramters you need to authorize device with Orange network.
And we can later on work on a code, that can be reused with 2.5G model (same main chipset) once it is available.
There is one unknown element for me - once you replace FunBox 5 that has built in GPON port - does it require different config than you replace older solution with separate ONT ?
About B2C sales, I need to check. B2B is available (VAT invoice, inter EU).
