Don’t loose your time reporting to ARCEP: They already know what the French ISP are doing and currently are fully supporting them.

The EU recommendation related to the freedom of choice regarding the terminal equipment has not been translated to any French law, thus there’s no obligation for the French ISP to make your life easier to replace their box.

on which basis are you stating this? If it was so It would be serious and lobbies/organisms like FSFE could base their pressure on the future French Government to adopt the European legislation!

This is the point - a movement to define the terminal point could get some momentum to change that.

It’s been like this since 2015 if I remember correctly. And probably 99.9% of the French people use and love the box they get from their ISP and really don’t care.
