Firstly... Sorry for the English... I don't want to insult anyone with my poor French

I am desperate to swap out my Orange Live box 5, and go directly to my Unifi Dream Machine Pro to make full use of my 2Gbps connection. I have always been under the assumption that it is not possible due to the UDM Pro not supporting DHCP 90.

However... I checked today following an update, and DHCP 90 is now showing as supported under the WAN configuration! (I have no idea if this is a new change, or happened in a past version).

Has anyone attempted recently to use their UDM Pro to connect directly to the fiber connection? Did it work? If it did work, what SFP adapter did you use?

Hello

Orange is not my ISP, so I can't test anything myself, however, according to the latest messages on this thread https://lafibre.info/remplacer-livebox/le-guide-complet-pour-usgusg-pro-internet-tv-livebox-ipv6/1104/ , it seems dhcp option 90 is not enough for a full support from an UDM. It appears you need the ability to set Class of Service (Cos) at level 6 for the wan connection.

CoS 6 only for DHCP and DHCP6 packets actually. Normal traffic must be CoS 0.

Fodolan is currenctly testing a custom Unify Firmware (see here)
This firmware was provided following a request on Unify forum as you can see in the post.

My understanding is that the firmware provides the news required options, but it doesn't work at the moment, no idea what are the blocking points.

We're getting close, but this is still not functionnal.
