Un papier que je trouve assez bien écrit, en anglais malheureusement, qui fait une bonne synthèse des politiques de Peering des Tier 1, et de leur impact sur "Internet".

Each and every day we deliver customer data to end users through thousands of networks around the world. By the nature of our business, we are in the middle of content distribution. Our goal is to always deliver the data with 100% quality and speed. As hard as we try, however, it’s not always possible.
Ten years ago, the Internet was about “free” peering, quality and speed improvements. Sure, transit prices were significantly higher but everyone wanted to cooperate. Nowadays, because of large networks of the largest ISPs on the planet, the Internet is broken in peak times.

C'est intéressant leur histoire de CDN couplé avec du P2P mais je me demande s'ils vont vraiment arriver à avoir un truc qui fonctionne.

Je pense que c'est faisable, car "rien n'est impossible", mais après faut trouver une méthode stable et sécurisée.
